Rooms that feel lived in, not staged.

Design and styling built around how you actually use your home — virtually anywhere, or in person across Chicagoland.

The approach

Beautiful is the easy part. Livable is the work.

Every home starts with the same questions: where does the light land, where does everyone end up, and what already means something to you. The answers come first. The paint chips come later. What you get is a home that photographs well and, more importantly, holds up to a Tuesday.

What we do

Three ways to work together

01

Room refresh

One room, completely designed, delivered as a plan you execute. Layout, palette, and a shoppable source list. Works over video from anywhere — and locally, I'll come style and photograph it when it lands.

02

Design consult

One hour on whatever you've been stuck on — scale, paint, layout, what to keep. Virtual or in your home, with notes to follow.

03

Full service

The whole house, handed over. Quoted individually and begins with a paid consultation — I take a small number each year.

The entry, restyled twice a year

The console stays put and everything on it changes with the season. It's the cheapest way I know to make a house feel tended to — and it's the first thing anyone sees when the door opens.

The designer

Hi, I'm Lauren.

I design homes for people in the thick of it — young kids, real furniture, actual weeknights. My work leans warm and collected: natural materials, layered texture, and rooms that look like they came together over years instead of a weekend.

I'm a licensed Illinois real estate agent as well, which means I think about your home the way a buyer eventually will. Good design and good resale are rarely in conflict.

Now booking

Six founding clients, no charge.

I'm opening the studio with six complimentary design consults. One hour, any rooms you like, and a written plan afterward — the same consult I'll be charging for shortly. In person if you're in Chicagoland, over video if you're not. In return I'd ask for honest feedback and, if you're happy, permission to photograph the room.

No catch and no obligation to hire me for anything after. I'd rather start with six real homes than a page of stock photos.
